BIOGRAPHY

Else is defined, up to some point, as an experiment, it's created with the porpouse of giving another choice to what already existed in our school, being us the only Heavy Metal band created there.

We have several influences, going from Hard Rock to even Black Metal, but our style is more defined by Power and Thrash Metal, we like our songs to be fast, directs and with good lyrics.

Else begins its history on May 2006, when a group of friends decide to participate on a school event, the band plays a cover from a national ska band, due to the few hours available to practice.

From that moment on the band starts to rehearse at school, cause they think it may be something big they're getting into, a month and a half later there's a notification of an event, a talent show, the band signs in, but there's one little trouble: THERE'S NO BAND NAME, so after thinking for almost a week, the name ELSE is chosen as the bands new name.

They day of the talent show the band plays, once again, a cover of mass aceptancy, the song "Hoy Toca Ser Feliz" from the spanish band Mago de Oz, sadly this would be the last time that the original members of the band play live all together.

A month after that presentation James Lima (Drums) retires of the band due to health problems, and also Henry Mancilla (Vocals) decides to quit, despite the adversity, the band keeps they're dream but it is untul January 2007 when the band returns, now with Josué "Oz" Contreras (Bass & Vocals).

For the second time the band signs in, on the talent show contest, but this time with a song of they're own, during a long weekend, several rehearsal and compisition hours, the first Else track is created, under the name "Sangre de Metal".

The band receives a medium aceptation of the song, but unfortunately due to each one studies, the band is left aside, it is until 2007 last trimester when Axel "Shadowxvz" Lemus (Drums) joins the band, and so the engine starts running again.

At the beggining of 2008 the band starts working on more and new songs, with the hope of record they're first album, the guitars run by account of Shadowxvz and Zero, lyrics by Zero and drum programming by Shadowxvz. During the recording of the album the talent tour shows again, and so the band signs in (again), this time with another cover, the song is "The Final Sacrifice" from Tobias Sammet's Avantasia.

Album recording is taking place on Shadow Records, property of Axel (Drums), it is planned to realese an EP before the album, the EP will contain 4 tracks, and will be available for free download. The album is set to the first trimester of 2009.

BIOGRAFÍA

Else se define como un experimento hasta cierto punto, se crea para dar una alternativa nueva a lo ya existente en nuestro centro educativo, siendo la única banda de Heavy Metal que ha sido creada ahí.

Nuestras influencias son varias, pero se denota mucho por el power metal, nos gustan los temas rápidos, directos, y con una buena lirica.

Else comienza su historia en mayo de 2006 cuando un grupo de amigos decide participar para un evento escolar sobre el día de las madres, tocando un cover de un grupo nacional, que no merece ser mencionado en este momento.

Desde ese entonces, se comienza a ensayar puesto que se ve que las posibilidades de que sea algo grande son muy altas, mes y medio mas tarde sale a la luz un concurso de talento, que se realizá en diferentes establecimientos educativos, la banda se apunta pero...no tienen un nombre asi que despues de una pequeña junta se elige el nombre Else.

Llegado el dia del concurso, se presenta una vez mas un cover de aceptación popular, se elige el tema "Hoy toca ser feliz" de la banda española Mago de Oz, esa seria la última vez que la formación original tocaria en vivo.

Se retiran de la banda James el baterista, y Henry el vocal, aunque la banda pierde a dos de sus miembros, el sueño sigue adelante, y es hasta enero de 2007 cuando se retoma la idea y se añade a la banda, un nuevo integrante, Josue Contreras al bajo y a la voz.

Por segundo año se elige participar en el Talent Tour pero esta vez con un tema propio, durante un largo fin de semana, horas de ensayo y composición, se crea el primer tema de la banda que lleva por nombre "Sangre de Metal".

Se obtiene una aceptación promedio, pero lamentablemente por motivos de estudio la banda es dejada a un lado, llegado el ultimo trimestre del 2007 se une a la banda Axel Lemus a la bateria, de esta manera la banda obtiene nuevamente la inspiración para seguir adelante.

A inicios de 2008 se comienza a trabajar en la composición de mas y nuevas canciones, esperando grabar el primer albúm de la banda, las guitarras corren a cargo de Shadowxvz y Zero, la programación y grabación de baterias a cargo de Shadowxvz, en medio de la grabación se presenta una vez mas el Talent Tour y se participa con un cover nuevamente, pero en esta ocación se interpreta el tema The Final Sacrifice de Avantasia.

La grabación del albúm se esta llevando a cabo en Shadow Records propiedad del baterista de la banda, se espera este listo para la segunda mitad de 2009.
